Team Smiley at Pirates Kidz Zone
Hey, cookie fanatics! It’s Marissa here from Team Smiley! Last week, Smiley and the team headed to Federal Street to hang out in the Pirates Kidz Zone. Smiley Cookie fans traveled from across the U.S. to meet Smiley and to watch the Pirates play in PNC Park, including a family who journeyed all the way from Florida! Smiley couldn’t contain his excitement and appreciation for these three dedicated fans. It was amazing to see that not even the heat could stop them from cheering on their favorite team!
In addition to the Floridians, many who were born and raised in Pittsburgh came out to enjoy a Pirates themed cookie, and to try their hand at decorating their own. We also met a few fans who have been dressing up as Pirates for several years. They’ve taken over 400 photos with fans and even made an appearance on ESPN.
All in all, Smiley had the best day meeting fans and hanging out with those who help to spread joy, just like he does, inside and out of the stadium!

Team Smiley at Idlewild
Hey friends! It’s Brooke from Team Smiley. Summer events are in full swing and recently, Smiley and the team traveled to Ligonier, PA to spend the day and spread smiles with Daniel Tiger at Idlewild! The team took a bunch of Smiley Cookies to give out to the fans that were there to meet Daniel Tiger, his friends, and Smiley. Idlewild and Eat’n Park have been partnering for many years and those visiting the park were so excited to decorate their own Smiley Cookie!
Daniel Tiger and Smiley loved meeting all their little fans and creating smiles with the park guests. Smiley can’t wait to return to the park to enjoy the rides and make even more friends!

Pittsburgh Bicentennial Parade
Hi, everyone! It’s Melissa here from Team Smiley! On July 9th, Smiley and the team helped Pittsburgh celebrate the 200th anniversary of its incorporation as a city by partaking in the Pittsburgh Bicentennial Parade. Smiley could not contain his excitement as he walked down Liberty Avenue, waving and having fun with all of his new friends!
Not only were the streets lined enthusiastic Pittsburgh fans, but with Eat’n Park fans as well! People jumped up and cheered at the sight of Smiley and the Cookie Cruiser coming down the street. Smiley had a blast as he entertained the crowds of people with his funky dance moves, silly poses, and personal meet and greets.
Everyone enjoyed this fun-filled day celebrating the steel city, and we cannot wait to celebrate with our fellow Pittsburghers again in the future!
