While visiting our Eat’n Park in Dormont, Smiley got a big hug from one of his tiniest fans. She even coordinated her outfit to match Smiley perfectly!
Smiley made so many new friends this week and would like to give a special shout out to Sharon, who traveled all the way across the country from California! She told Smiley that she makes sure to take home a dozen Smiley® Cookies every time she visits the area!

Daniel Tiger Giveaway
Here at Eat’n Park, our partnership with Fred Rogers Productions goes way back. In the 1980s, we created children's menus and placemats with "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" themes.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, all kids who visit us now through June 30 will receive a free Daniel Tiger book and activity sheet, while supplies last! The book, “Daniel Goes Out for Dinner,” is the perfect way to get your smart cookie’s summer reading list off to a grr-ific start!
Get ready for some fun in the sun at Idlewild during Daniel Tiger Neighbor Days, July 9-13! The kids will love hanging out with Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, O the Owl, and all their friends. Plus, those who visit on July 13 will get the chance to meet Smiley and decorate their own Smiley Cookie! The Start of Smiley's Road Trip
Beep, beep! Smiley’s Summer Road Trip has officially begun! So buckle your seat belts, start your engines, and get ready to meet Smiley in person because he’s visiting every single Eat’n Park location!
Smiley started his summer long road trip in Erie, PA, where he frosted up dozens of Smiley® Cookies with his Erie friends. With little time to spare, Smiley hopped in the Cookie Cruiser and zoomed off to McKeesport. After his long drive, Smiley couldn’t wait to feast on his favorite food, a Superburger!
The next stop on his road trip was our Waterfront location, which Smiley really thinks should be called the Cookiefront. Smiley held the door open for his adoring fans and flashed his best smile for some snazzy photos.

Team Member Appreciation Month Recap
For many years, May has been a very special month at Eat’n Park – Team Member Appreciation Month.
During this time, we strive to thank and recognize our hardworking Eat’n Park team members in the field for their years of dedicated service. Each location throws a special party for their crew, recognizing service milestones ranging from 5 to more than 40 years! (In fact, we even have an annual dinner for our Quarter Century Club – a group of current and retired team members who each have more than 25 years of service with the company.)

(In fact, we even have an annual dinner for our Quarter Century Club – a group of current and retired team members who each have more than 25 years of service with the company.)
Our team at our Franklin Park Eat’n Park really knows how to throw a party!
The celebration at our Johnstown Scalp Ave. location included many delicious sweets and treats!
In addition to these celebrations, every person who works in our Corporate Support Center (CSC) takes a day to work at one of our restaurants. They help out wherever needed - be it seating guests, chopping up vegetables, or even making Strawberry Pies.
Team Members at our Peters Township location helped to show a few folks from our Corporate Support Center how to make our classic Strawberry Pie!
During this special month, we also take the opportunity to thank almost 1,000 volunteers who donated more than 37,000 hours of their time to help make our neighborhoods a special place to live. Each volunteer received a special pin to recognize their hard work in their community.
Even though May has been selected as our special month to showcase our team members, we strive to thank them all year long, and you should too. Next time you see someone do a great job, let them know! Passing along a compliment and a smile will always be appreciated any time of the year!

Team Smiley 2018: (Left to Right) Gigi, Lyndsey, Taylor, Melanie, and Kara
Lyndsey:
Hi Smiley friends! My name is Lyndsey and I traveled all the way from Wisconsin to spend my summer with Smiley and all of you! I traded in cheese for Smiley Cookies and couldn’t be more excited. I currently go to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (Go Warhawks!) where I am studying marketing with an emphasis in retail. I love to travel so I am excited to get on the road and spread smiles all around the area this summer! My favorite meal at Eat’n Park is the Chicken and Strawberry Salad. (It’s my summer go-to for lunch!) I am so thrilled to explore Pittsburgh and all the great things that makes this city so unique!
Gigi:
Hey y’all! My name is Gigi. Originally from southwestern Virginia, I’m a rising Senior at Duquesne University, studying Public Relations & Advertising and Digital Media Arts. Despite my southern roots, I now claim Pittsburgh as home and love living in this city. In my free time, you can catch me running on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail or hanging with friends. My favorite thing at Eat’n Park is the Soup, Salad & Fruit Bar. (Shout out to the chili!) I’m looking forward to hitting the road this summer with Team Smiley and the big, loveable cookie himself… Smiley!
Melanie:
Hello everyone! My name is Melanie and Smiley has been a part of my life since I was a little cookie! Eating at Eat’n Park every Sunday with my Mimi and cousin, Jess, has been a family tradition of mine for as long as I can remember. I live in a small town called Russellton, which is about 40 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, and can always be spotted at my local Eat’n Park snacking on my favorite item: FarmSource Vegetable Soup! I am a junior at The Pennsylvania State University and am majoring in advertising. When I am not spreading smiles with Smiley and the team, I enjoy taking my smile out to explore local hot spots with my friends, family, and two Chinese Crested Powderpuff puppies.
Kara:
Hi, everyone! My name’s Kara, and I’m a junior at the University of Georgia where I am studying Advertising. I may be located in Georgia for school, but I’m a Pittsburgh girl, born and raised, so I’m excited to be back in my hometown and on Team Smiley this summer. While I’ll gladly eat anything from Eat’n Park’s menu, my absolute favorite dish is the Chicken and Strawberry Salad. As for dessert, I love a good slice of Oreo Creme Pie, although I’ll never object to having a whole pie to myself. When I’m not at Eat’n Park, you can find me baking up a storm in my kitchen or enjoying the great outdoors. I look forward to exploring new places this summer and making great memories!
Taylor:
Hi all! My name is Taylor and I am a senior Business Marketing major at Pennsylvania State University. I grew up in the Pittsburgh area, but my family recently moved to San Antonio, Texas. Even though we moved halfway across the country, I’ll always be a ‘burgh girl at heart. In my free time, I like to hang out with friends and travel. Since my freshman year of college, I have worked for the Pittsburgh Pirates as a ballgirl so you can always catch me on the sidelines of PNC Park fielding foul balls and interacting with fans. My favorite Eat’n Park menu item is the Soup, Salad & Fruit Bar. With so many options, I never walk away disappointed! I look forward to many more trips to the Salad Bar and traveling with Team Smiley this summer!
