As you may have read in my earlier post, I'm on the road this spring, doing a series of interviews with the local farmers that we partner with through FarmSource. Personally, I loved learning how much knowledge these farming families have passed down through the generations. I think you're going to enjoy these interviews, so I'll be posting my videos here whenever I can.
I most recently met with Art King of Harvest Valley Farms. Art and his family provide Eat'n Park with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, and zucchini throughout the spring and summer.
Jamie - this is fabulous what you and Eat'n Park are doing! I enjoy tracking your journies and taking in the inspiration.
Fostering genuine & personal relationships with the farmers is refreshing to see. You have truly created a 360 degree circle of social economics, integrating the local family farm into your business model. I appreciate your endeavors!
Throughout this blog, we hope to share a bit of our culture with you through stories, recipes, and other information that we think you’ll enjoy. More importantly, we hope you’ll share with us – we want to answer those questions you’ve always had about Eat’n Park (how did we come up with that name, anyway?) and we want to hear your ideas, feedback, and hopefully, a few compliments too!
So, please feel free to comment on postings that pique your curiosity. We'll do our best to respond to questions within 72 hours. Please keep in mind that we are a family restaurant; comments containing offensive language will not be posted.
