We’re Proud to Offer a Celiac Menu

At Eat’n Park, we take food allergies and sensitivities very seriously. We want every guest to feel comfortable in our restaurants, which is why we not only train our managers regarding allergens, but we also use separate color coded cutting boards, tongs and spatulas to ensure there is no cross contamination when we prepare meals for guests who have a food sensitivity.

In fact, we’d like to think that there’s something for everyone on our menu, including options for those who need to follow a gluten-free diet. So this month, in honor of Celiac Awareness Month, we’d like to share some of our most popular celiac-friendly menu items.

For those of you who don’t know what celiac disease is, it’s an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine that causes an intolerance to gluten, which is a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. The National Institutes of Health estimates that celiac disease affects approximately 1% of the U.S. population.  A growing number of people are being diagnosed with the disease every day, which is why we feel it’s so important to have options on our menu to suit a gluten-free diet.  So, what are they?

First up is our Rosemary Chicken. Our grilled chicken breast (or two, if you’re hungry!) is seasoned with rosemary, black pepper, canola oil, sautéed mushrooms and white wine sauce. Served with your choice of two sides, it’s no wonder this is a guest favorite.

Speaking of sides, we have plenty of gluten-free options. Choose from applesauce, baked potato, bean medley, carrots, coleslaw, corn, cottage cheese, fresh broccoli, sugar snap peas, mashed potatoes, and garden salad (without croutons).

Next are our burgers. Yep, you read that right. We offer a fantastic gluten-free bun, which means you can sink your teeth into a juicy burger without any consequences. Plus, you can sub our gluten-free bun for toast, sandwiches, or anything else in between. *

Another popular gluten-free menu item is our Chicken & Strawberry Salad! This perennial favorite boasts grilled julienne slices of tender chicken breast with fresh ripe strawberries, sliced almonds and our warm poppy and sesame seed dressing. It’s the perfect salad for a warm spring day!

And don’t think we forgot about breakfast! All of our omelettes are gluten-free. Choose from the Western, Meat Lover’s, Ham & Cheese, Veggies, Cheese, or make your own! Or enjoy a breakfast sandwich with our gluten-free bun. Yum!

Finally, we have our chili. We make our chili from scratch every single day, which means we are using real, gluten-free ingredients. Add a cup or bowl to your meal or grab a quart to go!

And, if you’re following a gluten-free diet or have a food allergy, please be sure to tell your server when you order, so that a manager can speak to you.  This will ensure that your meal is prepared properly.

*Due to the high cost of gluten-free items, there is a small ($.50) upcharge on our gluten-free buns. But trust us, they’re worth it!

Thank you for having the gluten free buns! This is the reason we come to Eat n Park. It is so nice to be able to have a hamburger at a restaurant.. or a breakfast sandwich!! It is much appreciated.

I go to eatnpark often in our area of Steubenville Ohio. Depending on which manager you ask, some will tell you that the potato soup and the chili are both gluten free. My mom, and my sister who are also Celiac, came with me the other day and they were told that the potato soup is gluten free. I was told that it is not several times. Can you please clear up this issue? It is not on the gluten free menu as I pointed out to my sister, but she said the manager told her it was gluten free

Hi Sharon, We can set the record straight. Our Potato Soup is NOT gluten-friendly but our chili is. Hope this helps!

I need gluten and dairy free. Any suggestions of menu items?
