Every month here on our blog, we'll be highlighting one of our non-profit partnerships. This month, learn a little more about Habitat for Humanity.
The vision of Habitat for Humanity is simple: a world where everyone has a decent place to live. And since their founding in 1976, they have touched the lives of 2.5 million people worldwide – from those who have benefitted from Habitat’s housing program to the countless others who have donated time, money, or materials to the worthy cause. Everyone deserves a roof over their head.
At Eat’n Park, we care about people. Whether our guests, team members, or residents of the our neighborhoods and local communities – we want to be there for them. And Habitat for Humanity is doing extremely important work right here, where we operate. It’s only fitting that we work together for the greater good.
That’s why Eat’n Park team members donate hundreds of volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity each year. Trading in their aprons and trays for tool belts and hammers, they will work alongside the family receiving the new and/or improved home.
We also support our local Habitat for Humanity chapters through numerous cookie donations, gift cards, and even Smiley appearances throughout the year. Smiley knows the importance of having a safe home to return to after a long day of spreading smiles.
